CNF Rear Geometry
Tension Analysis Methodology
How CNF computes zone tension from cloth-body distance fields, curvature, and seam stretch data.
Core Tension Equation
T_j = a · max(0, d_target â d_j) + b · Îș_j + c · Îs_j
- a â distance-gap penalty weight
- b â curvature influence weight
- c â seam stretch weight
- d_target â desired cloth-body clearance
- d_j â sampled cloth-body distance
- Îș_j â local curvature
- Îs_j â seam stretch delta
Tension Zones
For denim rear geometry, three critical zones are tracked:
- Upper seat â yoke and upper seat panel tension
- Side seam â inseam/outseam junction stress
- Thigh â thigh-to-seat transition tension
Vicente Cohort Targets
| Zone | Max Tension |
|---|---|
| Upper seat | 0.15 |
| Side seam | 0.18 |
| Thigh | 0.16 |
Pattern engineering iterates on seat ease, thigh ease, yoke angle, and rise curve to keep tension within these bounds.
